“'Love fades……’Pizza is forever.” Pizza express is a cozy pizza joint located in Al Hamra mall with a good outdoor and indoor seating. The ambience is really good with soft music playing in the background. Their open kitchen allows you to see how your pizza is being made and if you are lucky you might also spot the chefs doing some awesome tricks with the pizza dough. For starters we ordered Dough balls with garlic butter and Baked calamari with pesto mayo. The dough balls were crisp on the outside, soft inside and tasted yummy with the garlic butter. The baked calamari was yummy and crispy and is must try. The main course consisted of the following items - Penne Arrabiata - Spicy pasta, tastes better with Parmesan cheese Giardiniera pizza - Looks like a mini garden on your table. Drizzled with pesto sauce. Best vegetarian pizza ever. Americano pizza - Very yummy and saucy pizza. Reminded us of Italy. Margherita - Super cheesy with a crispy base. Ideal for cheese lovers We were let down by their deserts which were tasty but not up to the mark. The chocolate fondant was supposed to have a melted chocolate orange center but the center was nothing but cake. Also their tiramisu despite being on the menu for the past 15 years was less of a sweet dessert and more of a mouthful of ice. Their Fragola fresca drink is super refreshing and goes well with the food. The staff is really friendly and interactive. Great service and hospitality. Ample of parking available around the restaurant. A must visit if you are craving for authentic Italian pizza and pasta.
