“Keep kofta and curry on.” Sukh sagar used to be my favourite vegetarian restaurant. I grew up eating food at sukh sagar on weekends. Have many childhood memories associated with this place. Our latest visit was on a friday for lunch. I was super excited as i was dining at this restaurant after 2 years. I had planned to order all my favourite and yummy dishes. The place was not too crowded, restaurant smelling nice, soft music in the background and the familiar faces of the staff were making me eager to start ordering and eating a delicious friday lunch. We first ordered some fresh lime soda and badam pista milkshake. The soda was very sour and the milkshake had big pieces of badam and pista which kept obstructing the straw. The taste of the milkshake wasn’t good either. Next up we tried some soup and starters. The hot and sour soup was very delicious but the sweet corn soup was too sweet. Their mix platter is the best thing to order if you want to try different starters all on one plate. It consists of paneer tikka, mushroom tikka, grilled pineapple, sheekh kabab and hara bhara kabab. The platter is very tasty and is a must have. We also tried their fast moving trim and terrific salad which was just about okay. We also tried their special pav bhaji and bombay pizza. The cheese on both the dishes did not appear to be and the dishes tasted average. For the main course we tried the following items from the menu and their buffet - Nawabi paneer - We would prefer if this dish was less sweet. Aloo bukhara - Very tasty but the kofta could have been firmer. Hyderabadi vegetable - It was bland and the vegetables could have been cooked better. Paneer tikka - Tasty but was not warm enough despite being in the buffet casserole Dal makhani - Average taste, the malai was missing as a garnish. There was a piece of plastic in the dal Panchratna dal - Tastier than dal makhani

Triple schezwan - Was not upto our expectations.

The meal ended on a sweet note with some gulab jamoons, moongdal halwa and their super tasty gajar ka halwa. We also tried their maramari juice.

The ambience is good, staff is friendly but finding a parking is a bit difficult at weekends.
